OUR PROVINCE
Jiwaka Province is a relatively new province in Papua New Guinea, having been established in 2012. It is located in the highlands region of the country, bordered by the Western Highlands Province to the west and the Simbu Province to the east. The province is named after the Jimi, Waghi, and Kambia rivers that flow through its territory.
The economy of Jiwaka Province is predominantly based on agriculture, with the majority of the population engaged in subsistence farming.
